POET PETER BALAKIAN TO READ AT HAMILTON COLLEGE


Peter Balakian, a poet and professor of English at Colgate University, will present a reading of his work on Thursday, April 17, at 8 p.m. The reading will take place in the Fillius Events Barn, and is free and open to the public.

Balakian's newest work is his memoir, Black Dog of Fate, which recounts his years of growing up Armenian-American in the New Jersey suburbs. His other books include four books of poetry, Father Fisheye, Sad Days of Light, Reply from Wilderness Island and The Dyer's Thistle. He is also the co-editor and co-founder of Graham House Review, a biannual magazine of contemporary poetry, translations, reviews, and essays.
