Hosted by Portland Regional President Robert S. Simon '85 and Magdalena Cynkutis-Simon '86, nearly 26 members of the Hamilton family attended the barbecue mixer at the Oaks Park amusement park.  Featuring a barbecue cook-off, Dick Russell '68 from Olympia, WA won popular acclaim for his offering as did Matt Winfield '94 and Kristen Winfield '99 and their son Jacob.

Judged by Cathleen and Mark Farrell '74 and their daughters Elizabeth '11 and Helen, the sunny Portland day was filled  with conversation among past and present Hamilton students. Lisa and Patrick Kernan P'11 and daughters Amy '11 and Tala had the opportunity to visit with Vicki and Paddy McGuire '81, also parents of a 2011 student, Katherine.  However, new students were not alone as Susan and Terry "Scoops" Enger '64 and Mike Hagedorn '90 joined in on the competition and conversation and shared their experiences of life on The Hill.

Although the event began at noon, several attendees stayed well past dusk including Richard Marcus '74 and Dick Russell '68 who shared Hamilton memories and tales of the TKE house; however, Regional President Robert Simon '85 ensures guests that no secret handshakes were revealed.
