The lecture scheduled today, Friday, Feb. 20, on "Soul Food"  has been postponed. Please watch for notification when it is re-scheduled.

Tracy Poe, assistant professor of history and humanities at Barat College of DePaul University, presents "'Soul Food' and Social Meaning: African American Women Entrepreneurs in the era of the Great Migration," in  the Red Pit.  The lecture is in conjunction with Sophomore Seminar 235 Food for Thought and sponsored by the Dean of Faculty's Office, the department of history, and the Kirkland Endowment.

Poe is a renowned expert on women's history, especially in the United States, and also is an expert on race and ethnicity, and immigration issues.
