 Nancy Sorkin Rabinowitz

Professor of Comparative Literature Nancy Sorkin Rabinowitz recently presented a lecture titled “Reading Agamemnon in Prisons” at the University of Oxford. The talk was hosted by the Archive of Performances of Greek & Roman Drama in association with the showcasing of Agamemnon: a performance history, a new open-access multimedia ebook co-curated by Fiona Macintosh and Justine McConnell, and published by Oxford University Press.

Rabinowitz discussed a class she teaches in her work with the Hamilton Oneida Prison Education (HOPE) project. Through HOPE, she and other Hamilton faculty members volunteer to teach inmates of a nearby medium-security prison.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
