“Writing Resistance, Writing the Self: Literary Reconstruction in United States Prison Witness,” by Walcott-Bartlett Chair of Ethics and Christian Evidences and Professor of Literature and Creative Writing Doran Larson, recently received an honorable mention for the Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais Prize.
Chosen by an international jury of experts from the social sciences and humanities, the biennial prize honors the best articles published during the previous two calendar years in the journal of the Centre for Social Studies at Portugal’s University of Coimbra. Larson’s article appeared in the journal in 2019.
According to an announcement of the award, Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais publishes “original articles presenting advanced research and creative theoretical thinking with respect to the Social Sciences and the Humanities.” The open access quarterly journal focuses on “works with a transdisciplinary approach and that contribute to the theoretical discussion, epistemological thinking and critical knowledge of contemporary reality on a global scale.”
