Visiting Assistant Professor of East Asian Languages and Literatures Tiao-Guan Huang recently shared her experiences and thoughts on Chinese language teaching with the faculty of the Institute of China Studies at the International Education College of Zhejiang University in China.
Huang discussed various pedagogical issues, including how to place students in proper learning level classes, how to conduct language lecture and drill classes effectively, how to balance fluency and accuracy in language classes at different levels, and how to give students appropriate feedback and suggestions.
