Assistant Professor of Government Gbemende Johnson gave an invited research presentation titled “Adjudicating Executive Privilege: Federal Administrative Agencies and Deliberative Process Privilege Claims in Federal Court” at the University of Kansas on Nov. 7.
Johnson’s project examines the way in which federal courts can influence executive branch transparency by examining litigation that arises when federal agencies claim executive privilege to withhold information from requesters.
Her presentation was part of the University of Kansas’ Clifford P. Ketzel Speaker Series for the Expression of Minority Opinions and the Political Science Lecture Series.
