Assistant Professor of Literature Pavitra Sundar recently presented at Cornell University during the second annual Upstate New York Sound Meet-Up. She shared a 15-minute introduction to her research with an interdisciplinary group of scientists, engineers, psychologists, musicians, industry personnel, and other audiophiles from around the state.
Sundar’s presentation, “Soundwork in South Asia: Bollywood and Beyond,” described her current book manuscript and the Accent Research Collaborative, a budding project with her colleagues at Amherst College, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Arizona.
“Since we were all from such different fields, it was an exercise in not getting too technical!,” Sundar said of the event.
