Pavitra Sundar

Assistant Professor of Literature Pavitra Sundar recently travelled to Toronto where she presented a paper at the annual Society for Cinema and Media Studies conference. “Voice as Bodily Instrument: Women’s Millennial Soundwork in Bombay Cinema” is part of her book manuscript titled Listening to Bollywood.

Sundar also co-organized a seminar on “South Asian Masculinities in Contemporary Literature and Popular Culture” with Praseeda Gopinath of Binghamton University. The seminar was part of the annual American Comparative Literature Association convention that took place at UCLA March 29 to April 1.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
