Two Hamilton College faculty members have been awarded Class of 1963 Faculty Fellowships. Associate Professor of Economics Jeff Pliskin and Associate Professor of Psychology Penny Yee received the fellowships, which were established by the Class of 1963 on the occasion of its 30th reunion.
Pliskin will develop an applied course that would examine selected issues on how firms compensate and train their workers and organize production, especially the degree to which workers participate in making decisions.
Yee will work with new eye-tracking equipment to develop introductory exercises for her 200 level cognitive courses in memory and 300 level laboratory course.
The fellowship is intended to provide members of the faculty with inspiration and incentive to become better teachers by developing additional areas of expertise during the summer months. The award is open to tenured faculty and untenured faculty in tenure-track appointments.
