Nancy Sorkin Rabinowitz, Margaret Bundy Scott Professor of Comparative Literature, was a guest lecturer in a week-long seminar at New York University (NYU) on “Troubling Talk from Antiquity Onward: Sensitive Topics in the Classroom.” Her presentation focused on teaching the question of rape and sexual slavery in antiquity, via Euripides’ Trojan Women and Andromache.
The seminar was presented by NYU’s Faculty Resource Network, an academic partnership that brings together faculty from colleges and universities and offers them opportunities for pedagogical and scholarly development.
