Professor of Religious Studies Heidi Ravven co-organized and co-chaired a panel with her daughter Dr. Simha E. Ravven ’98. The panel on “Issues of Power and Complicity in Psychiatry and Beyond” was part of the International Academy of Law and Mental Health that took place in Rome, Italy, this summer.
They also presented papers in that session — Heidi Ravven presented “Insights from the Holocaust and the New Brain Sciences About Complicity, Collusion and Collaboration” and Simha Ravven’s paper was titled “Autonomy and Coercion in Forensic Treatment: A Case-Based Discussion.”
