Nancy McCabe, author of Meeting Sophie: A Memoir of Adoption and After the Flashlight Man: A Memoir of Awakening will read from recent work on Tuesday, March 9, at 8 p.m. in the Fillius Events Barn.
McCabe has published creative nonfiction, poetry, fiction, and academic articles in journals and magazines including Prairie Schooner, Fourth Genre, Massachusetts Review, Writer's Digest, and Studies in Popular Culture. Her creative nonfiction has won a Pushcart Prize and been listed twice in Best American Essays.
Her books Meeting Sophie: A Memoir of Adoption and After the Flashlight Man: A Memoir of Awakening were released last fall. She directs the writing program at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. The reading is sponsored by the English Department.
