Rita Tran '09 has received a Youth Venture Grant through Youth Service America for The Accepted College Prep Program, an initiative that she and several other Hamilton students formed with The Underground Café. Rafael Rosa '10, Stephanie Tafur '10, and Mica Warton '09 were also involved in writing the grant.
The Accepted College Prep Program facilitates weekly 2-hour workshops for low-income high school students from Proctor High School in Utica and provides support services to help with the college application process. About 30 Hamilton students have been involved in the program in some way.
