Riverbank Power Corp., a Canadian developer of underground renewable power generation facilities, has named Hamilton graduate William Helmer '78 Vice President, general counsel, and secretary.  Helmer comes to the Ontario-based power company after heading the environmental practice group Green & Seifter Attorneys PLLC in Albany, N.Y.   Furthermore, Helmer served as special counsel to the New York Power Authority until 2007 and chief of the state Attorney General's Environmental Protection Bureau from 1995-99.  After Hamilton, Helmer received his MA from Columbia University and his JD from SUNY Buffalo in 1982.  At Hamilton, Helmer was a member of the college choir and helped to edit the Spectator.  Helmer currently resides in Delmar, New York with his wife and three children and remains involved in the Hamilton community through various volunteer roles.
