A work by Ben Salzman '14 and Professor of Music Samuel Pellman, Selected Galaxies: Peculiar, was recently presented on a concert at the Understanding Visual Music 2013 conference, hosted by the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, in Buenos Aires.
Pellman composed the music for the work on a Kyma digital music system, and Salzman created the video for the work by digitally animating and processing images, captured by space telescopes, of distant galaxies. A version of the piece can be viewed online.
