Smith, who leads the Continentals (5-5-1; 3-2-1 ECAC East) with six goals,took a long headman pass from Mark Warcup and scored on Trinity goalieJeff Blair (43 saves) to give Hamilton a 3-1 advantage at the 7:36 mark. Hethen helped to cement Hamilton's victory with a slap shot from the left slotwith 6:26 remaining in the game after Trinity (5-5-1; 3-3-1 ECAC East) had cutthe lead to 3-2 just a minute earlier.
Hamilton took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission thanks to the firstcareer goal by sophomore John Manley, playing just his third game withthe varsity. Manley took a feed from Ben Hawn in front of the net andscored at the 15:16 mark of the period.
Dan Lyons had a goal and an assist for Trinity, which lost to Hamilton for theseventh consecutive time. The game was a rematch of last Saturday's 6-4Hamilton win over the Bantams in the consolation round of the PlattsburghCardinal Classic.
Scott Grenier had 27 saves for Hamilton and improved his record to 3-2-1 onthe season.
