Director of Opportunity Programs Aaron Ray was recently a panelist on an Inside Higher Ed webcast titled “A New Era of Student Success: Innovative Programs for Career Readiness.” Ray said he was recruited for this panel through his role as the president of the Higher Education Opportunity Programs Professional Organization. He was joined by panelists from Fordham University, the University of Rochester, and the SUNY system.
The panel focused on improving student success and career readiness, sharing their own examples of programs they have implemented to improve student outcomes and help them prepare for life after college in an unpredictable job market. Panelists learned innovative ways to use their resources to help remove the barriers that may inhibit student achievement.
