Students on Hamilton’s Poetry Slam Team recently competed in the 2017 College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational.  CUPSI 2017 included 72 teams from around the globe and was hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago from April 12 through 16.

Poets on the team were: Emily Aviles ’19, Nora Boyle ’18, Ash Lalwani ’19, Liz Lvov ’17, and Jana Prudhomme ’19.  Visiting Assistant Professor of Literature and Creative Writing Hoa Ngo served as coach and adviser.

This year marked Hamilton's first entry into the competition.  The team was supported by the Dean of Faculty Office, the Days-Massolo Center, the Kirkland Endowment Advisory Committee, and the Literature and Creative Writing Department.
