It has been a remarkable year. Few have gone unscathed by the global economic meltdown. Yet, Hamilton alumni, parents and friends continue to reaffirm that the Hamilton family is a uniquely generous one. More than 10,000 alumni, parents and friends made unrestricted gifts this year, helping to sustain the long standing tradition of Hamilton philanthropy in what was an especially challenging year. On Sunday, May 24, another academic year came to a close as 472 members of the Class of 2009 and their families celebrated the College's 197th Commencement. Amidst all of the awards and achievements of one of Hamilton's most remarkable classes on record, one particularly noteworthy statistic stands out as we end the fiscal year — more than half of graduating seniors received scholarship support from the College. Simply put, the support of alumni, parents and friends made it possible for them to attend Hamilton.
