The 13 members of the Hamilton College Buffers took their show on the road as they departed for their annual winter tour on January 9. In recent years this popular a cappella group has been active throughout the Northeast, performing at assorted alumni events and at academic institutions including Williams, Harvard, RPI, Russell Sage, Georgetown, Bates, Dartmouth, Vermont and McGill.
This year the Buffers performed with the Middlebury Mischords, the Bates Merimanders, the Dartmouth Decibelles, and the NYU Vocaholics. Donning their traditional white bucks and blue blazers, the group entertained audiences of all sizes, reining in a cappella enthusiasts with their commanding stage presence and brash sense of humor. Led by president Aaron Richterman '09, music director Peter Mallozzi '09, and business director Ethan Woods '09, the 2008 Buffers look forward to further travels, a Hamilton-hosted a cappella invitational, and the release of a new CD.
For more information about the group, please visit the website www.buffers.org. Any Buffer alumni are encouraged to update their alumni profile. For those interested in hearing about future Buffers adventures/performances, please email erwoods@hamilton.edu.
