Professor of Art Katharine Kuharic explored works in her solo exhibition, The Foliated Room, in a recent panel discussion at P·P·O·W in New York. A recording of the discussion is available on the P·P·O·W website.
The Foliated Room includes both old and new paintings in an examination of the struggle between life and death. Kuharic said the pieces on display reference her relationship to Hamilton in the flora and fauna, sourced from the college cemetery, that are represented in her paintings.
The show, featured recently in Widewalls magazine, runs through Jan. 27 at the P·P·O·W Gallery, located at 390 Broadway in Lower Manhattan.
