The Hamilton College Theatre Department announces the fall theater production, A Dream Play, by August Strindberg in a new version by Caryl Churchill. Performances will run Thursday, Nov. 6 – Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 12 – Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. There is one additional performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8. All performances will take place in the new state-of-the-art Romano Theatre within the Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts. 

Directed by Professor Carole Bellini-Sharp, Caryl Churchill's darkly comic and resonant contemporary version of August Strindberg’s surreal A Dream Play follows the journey of Agnes, daughter of the god Indra, who comes to earth to experience what it's like to be human. Designers Andrew Holland, David Stoughton and Amy Petta create the play’s dream world and vision.

A Dream Play features Hamilton students Catherine Luciani ’15, Matthew Reineman ’17, Andrew Gibeley ’16, Caitlin McQuade ’18, Brian Evans ’15, Allison Scheutte ’16, Nate Goebel ’15, Shannon Boley ’16, Jenna Langbaum ’15, Lizzie Buchanan ’15, Shea Crockett ’15, Thomas Bowden ’18, Ryan Cassidy ’17 and Wynn Van Dusen ’15. Stage manager is Melinda "MJ" Lugo ’16.

Tickets for the performance are $5 for the general public and $3 for students. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged.  For more information or tickets call the Theatre Box Office at 859-4969. This performance contains language and nudity. Suitable for adult audiences only.
