Scholars have been arguing for 50 years about the date of the Linear B tablets found in the Bronze Age Palace at Knossos.
In a recently published article, “The Final Palace at Knossos: Texts and Contexts,” Professor of Art History John McEnroe proposed an answer based on a new look at the architecture in relation to the broader regional and international context.
The article appears in Meditations on the Diversity of the Built Environment in the Aegean Basin published by the Canadian Institute in Greece.
