Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Climates (2006) will be screened at the Marquee Cinemas in New Hartford on Thursday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. as the final installment of the Edge of Winter Film Series. The film reflects Ceylan's view of the strained relationship between men and women, and displays his inclination to focus on tiny details such as the exact origin of quarrels. Ceylan and his wife Ebru play the two protagonists, a man and woman who are struggling with their relationship.

J. Hoberman of The Village Voice has hailed Climates as "a terrific movie in the Antonioni tradition" that confirms Ceylan as "one of the world's most accomplished fimmakers." Climates also won the FIPRESCI Movie Critics' Award at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

The event is made possible by the Kirkland Art Center, The Hamilton Forum on Images and Languages in Motion, and the New York State Council on the Arts. Admission is $5 for the Hamilton community.
