Chris Vasantkumar, the Luce Junior Professor of Asian Studies and Anthropology, is the author of an essay titled "Tibetan Peregri-nations: Mobility, Incommensurable Nationalisms and (Un)belonging Athwart the Himalayas." It appears in a special issue of the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies on "Regimes of Mobility" co-edited by Nina Glick Schiller and Noel B. Salazar.

Focusing on the ramifications of the creation since 1959 of two incommensurable modes of Tibetan nationalism for both contemporary Tibetan diasporic communities and the study of Diaspora, mobility and belonging more generally, the paper has just been published online and will appear in print in early 2013.
