Maiden USA is a multi-media event exploring images of, by and about American teenage girls. Maiden USA includes films and videos created by teenage girls from across the United States as well as a presentation of how the teenage girl icon changed in popular culture from the 1960s to the present. This original presentation examines films, television, the recording industry and advertising, and culminates with a video installation about teenage girl body language created in collaboration with Reel Grrls, Seattle.

This event is sponsored by the Department of English, ELS, Kirkland Endowment and the Kirkland Project.
