Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics Jesse Weiner presented on Nov. 1 at the annual meeting of the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association (PAMLA) in Riverside, Calif. His talk was titled “Me parum pudicum putastis?: Persona Problems in Catullus and Eminem.”
In addition, Weiner’s article “Mapping Hubris: Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle and Odysseus’ Apologoi” was published online in the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). According to its website, IJCT “examines how cultures from the ancient world to the present time have received Greek and Roman antiquity.”
