Dear Evan Hansen was the night’s biggest winner at the 2017 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 11, receiving six awards including one for best new musical. Among those recipients of the TONY statuette was Hamilton alumna and the musical’s associate producer Rachel Weinstein ’93.
No stranger to Broadway, Weinstein was the co-producer of Eugene O’Neill’s Hughie starring Forest Whitaker last year, among several other productions. She hosted Hamilton alumni for a talkback after the show in March.
Another Hamiltonian, Lindsey Hope Pearlman '08, was assistant director for Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler. He won the Tony for Best Choreography.
