The Ruth and Elmer Museum of Art was included in a Dec. 9 ARTnews article titled “Title Fights: How Museums Name Their Shows.” The article addressed the complex process of choosing a name for an exhibition that typically involves curators, directors and, sometimes, publicists.

In addition to a Wellin exhibition, the article discussed shows at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Rubin Museum, the Whitney Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Clark Art Institute and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among others. Frohawk Two Feathers, the artist whose work is currently on exhibit at the Wellin, was quoted about his show's title, “You Can Fall: The War of the Mourning Arrows (An Introduction to the Americas and a Requiem for Willem Ferdinand.” “I’ve always been fond of lengthy titles. It harkens back to my days as a rapper—verses upon verses,” said Two Feathers.
