Associate Professor of Africana Studies Nigel Westmaas gave a feature address titled “Restoring Haiti’s Glory and Dignity: The Presence of the Past in the Present” at the Guyana-Haiti Forum on July 4.
The address was translated simultaneously in Kreyol for a Haitian audience at the virtual event. The forum was sponsored by the Sosyete Kiltirel Ayisyen (Haitian Cultural Association) in collaboration with the Africa Studies research group of the University of Guyana.
