In this article, Xu reviews the theoretical basis for incorporating multimedia into second language acquisition. He also discusses the criteria for combining DVD with language and film instruction. Finally, Xu introduces, compares and contrasts all the available technology to incorporate DVD into PowerPoint presentation with detailed examples and illustrations. An evaluation of each of the available technology is also provided.
