The James D. MacLennan Scholarship
The James D. MacLennan Scholarship, established in 1998, may be awarded to any student who has demonstrated financial need and who is in good standing at the College.
James D. MacLennan was born in Norwood, Massachusetts. He entered Hamilton in 1954, majored in economics and French, and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. After graduating in 1958, James served in the National Guard, and eventually earned an MBA in marketing from Boston University. He was self-employed, representing Midwest furniture manufacturers for more than forty years before retiring in 2004.
