  • Concepts about Food Access and Food Security in Utica, New York.  Sabina's thesis explores how different communities and organizations in Utica define food security. This will be the presentation of her findings, based on readings and interviews with community members, leaders of food pantries, kitchens, and other food access organizations.

  • The Three Minute Thesis competition offers up to $1000 in cash prizes for the seniors who can most effectively summarize their senior projects in three minutes or less. Seniors must tailor their explanations for a broad audience, beyond the college. Community members form the judging panel. Hamilton is one of only a few undergraduate institutions in the U.S. that sponsors the competition. Funding for the 3MT at Hamilton comes from the Ferguson Endowment, which advances oral communication across campus. The competition will be livestreamed here.

  • "Gyotaku" Fish Prints! Drop in to explore art and make a creative project as a family. Wellin Kids programs draw inspiration from original works of art and provide an opportunity to experiment. This week, we will create our own gyotaku fish print scenes, inspired by Alexa Hatanaka's sculpture Koinobori (eggs in the belly). The first hour (2–3 p.m.) is recommended for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade and the second hour (3:30–4:30 p.m.) is recommended for children in 3rd through 5th grade.  Admission is free.
