Sustainability Action Plan
Hamilton’s Sustainability Action Plan targets certain actions that go beyond carbon emissions, many of which are implementable at the individual level. In addition to pledges to achieve both a 90% landfill diversion rate (compared to our 2007 baseline) and an AASHE Stars silver rating by 2030, the five key focus areas of this plan include:
- Creating a culture of sustainability on campus
- Advancing sustainability across the curriculum
- Managing our buildings, transportation fleet, and energy use on campus
- Managing food and waste on campus
- Making purchasing and procurement more sustainable at Hamilton.
