  From NY to the World:  NY Geology, the NYSGA, and Revelations from the Devonian"  Dr. Linda C. Ivany, Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Syracuse University.      Dr. Ivany is a prominent scholar in the field of marine paleoecology and paleoclimate. Her talk will focus on how studies on the Devonian rocks of central New York over the past 100 years played an important role in our current understanding of how marine ecosystems respond to climate change.
