Event Description

"The show doesn’t go on because it is ready. It goes on because it’s 11:30” —

Lorne Michaels. Mort Korn ’80 was the key grip in the Saturday Night Live Film Unit for over 20 years. His recent retirement freed him up to share a bit of the magic that has made these some of the most watched clips on the internet. Mort will trace the development of the SNL Film Unit, showing videos that demonstrate how their work changed and became more sophisticated over time. Come hear the scoop about the process and insane schedule, as well as stories about some of the personalities he worked with while there. And of course, we’ll be watching some of the funniest SNL skits around! This event is sponsored by the Class of 1980 and is open to all.
