Event Description

The renowned Anvil Orchestra (Larry Dersch, Terry Donahue, and Roger Miller) returns to accompany two classic, breakthrough "silent" films. At 2 p.m., Dziga Vertov's Man with a Movie Camera (1929): a British Film Institute poll of film historians and critics rated it film history's greatest documentary. At 7 p.m., Robert Wiene's The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920): the film that established the horror film genre. Both screenings are in the Bradford Auditorium, Kirner-Johnson 125, and are free and open to the public.
