Curated Journeys from Southeast Asia to Britain
The word “curate” is used in many contexts today from museum work to designing shop windows to selecting reading lists. Yet, what does it mean? What is a curator? How does one get that way, and what do you actually do when you get there? In this talk, Alexandra Green '89 explores the processes and challenges of curatorship from small private institutions to the large British Museum with a focus on working with Southeast Asian communities, materials, and collections in the 21st century.
