Please join us for a presentation by Sharon Rivera (Sidney Wertimer Professor for Excellence in Advising and Mentoring), Robert Knight (Professor of Art), and Bret Olsen (Associate Director of Academic Technology & Digital Support) on their collaboration in the spring 2026 course, GOVT 239: Digital Human Rights. The course enabled students to utilize OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) techniques to conduct anonymous internet-based research, synthesize their findings, and present them as video essays. Rather than using traditional cameras, students used screen-recording software to turn their computer screens into a canvas—capturing clicking, scrolling, and moving windows to tell a story.

This lunchtime series highlights creative partnerships between Hamilton College faculty and LITS Instructional Designers and Research Librarians. We’ll explore innovative approaches to pedagogy and course design by spotlighting one assignment, course, or project from the past academic year—presented in collaboration with the faculty member and the LITS staff who supported it. Each session offers a closer look at how faculty and LITS are partnering for success to enhance student learning, support teaching goals, and bring ideas to life across disciplines.
