Join us in the LITS Makerspace to learn Sketchup! We’ll go through the basic 3-D modeling techniques you need to make a model of your dorm room and other simple objects! No experience or fancy apps needed. Just bring a laptop if you have one!

Build a lifelong living and learning experience for Hamilton students that dramatically improves outcomes for thriving in lives of meaning, purpose, and active citizenship.  Each charrette is an intensive, collaborative workshop that brings together a diverse group of participants to generate ideas, address challenges, and design potential solutions. Day 1 is dedicated to exploring the topic and brainstorming ideas and strategies related to it.

The Design Thinking Workshop is an event organized by Hamilton Ventures, Hamilton College’s idea-to-business accelerator. Design thinking is a human-centered, iterative approach to creative problem-solving that prioritizes user needs to develop innovative solutions. In this workshop, we will provide an overview of design thinking and demonstrate how to apply it to identify, develop, and transform ideas into ventures.

Please join us for a presentation by DJ Schuldt, LITS Special Collections Education and Outreach Librarian, on his project, “Print and Probability” . Lunch will be provided.

The LITS Data Science Tutors will present what they found out from analyzing Fillius Jazz Archive using computational text analysis methods and how they did it.
