Caroline Davis, a candidate for May graduation from Hamilton, has been awarded a Fulbright Grant to Kenya. She will spend the 2011-12 academic year studying methods of transitional justice among Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) in the Rift Valley province of Kenya.

Charlotte Hickey ’11 has been awarded a Fulbright grant to Germany. She will spend the 2011-12 academic year at Ludwig-Maximilians –Universitat of Munich, researching the roles of nurses at former euthanasia site Kaufbeuren and their transition back into German society. She hopes to understand the impact of outside forces on the evolution of post-war German society and in particular the role of the early encounters between Germans and Americans and will investigate their initial interactions.

Jennifer Whitman ’10 has been awarded a Fulbright grant to China. Through her project, she will work with faculty at the University of Sichuan Law School in Chengdu, China, to examine Chinese legal aid for female migrant workers. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers fellowships for U.S. graduating college seniors, graduate students, young professionals and artists to study abroad for one academic year.
