An exhibition of work from Associate Professor of Art Robert Knight’s Transnational are on display at Millbrook School in Millbrook, N.Y., through April 27.

An artists’ book created by Associate Professor of Art Robert Knight and Visiting Assistant Professor of Literature Andrew Rippeon recently received a 2018 College Book Art Association (CBAA) Members’ Exhibition Award.

The work of Associate Professor of Art Robert Knight is on display in Reverence: Ben Altman and Robert Knight at SUNY Cortland’s Dowd Gallery. A reception will take place on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

An essay by Professor of History Lisa Trivedi is included in Performative Communication: Culture and Politics in South Asia, recently published by Routledge.

Four Hamilton faculty members were approved for tenure by the College’s Board of Trustees during a recent meeting. The board granted tenure to Rob Knight, art, Chinthaka Kuruwita, mathematics, and Xavier Tubau, Hispanic studies. With the granting of tenure comes the title of associate professor.

About 30 students from three classes recently went on a joint field trip to the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, N.Y.

Refocusing the Lens: Pranlal K. Patel’s Photographs of Women at Work in Ahmedabad curated by Professor of History Lisa Trivedi and Assistant Professor of Art Robert Knight opened at City Hall in Sacramento California on Feb 6.

Ten Hamilton senior art majors, led by Professors Rebecca Murtaugh and Robert Knight, traveled to New York City from Nov. 3-5 to visit the studios and see the work of five established artists and hear their insight.

Assistant Professor of Art Rob Knight took his Advanced Photography students to an education conference in New York City on Oct. 28 and 29. “Depth of our Field: Collaborations and Partnerships in Arts Education” was sponsored by the Penumbra Foundation.
