  • Faculty Art Show 2013, an exhibition highlighting artwork from the art faculty at Hamilton College, opens at the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art on Thursday, June 6, and runs through Sunday, July 28.

  • Five Hamilton artists are represented in a new catalog of works from the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA) 2012 member show. The artists included are Professors of Art Bruce Muirhead and William Salzillo, as well as Amy Buchholz ’81, Jake Muirhead ’86 and Michael Hew Wing ’99, who also designed the catalog.

  • Alexandra Nasto’s ’13 summer internship at the New Britain (Conn.) Museum of American Art (NBMAA) led to one of her works being exhibited at the museum’s Juried Members Show in October.  Nasto, a curatorial intern at the NBMAA from May to August 2012, submitted an acrylic painting she had completed as part of Hamilton Professor Bill Salzillo’s design class last spring. The painting was one of the works selected by juror Robert Burns, director of the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Conn.

  • The opening reception for an exhibition of prints by the Atelier Four will be held Sunday, April 10, from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Kirkland Arts Center. The Atelier Four is William R. Kenan Professor of Art Bruce Muirhead, Professor of Art and Curator of the Hamilton Collects Program William Salzillo and artists Amy Georgia Buchholz ’80 and Jake Muirhead ’86. The foursome has worked collaboratively in printmaking for more than 30 years. The exhibition runs through April 27 at the KAC.
