From coups to COVID-19, faculty, staff, and students have presented their views and expertise in major news outlets throughout the year addressing myriad topics reflecting the breadth of their research.

At Hamilton, Tenes Paul ’13 loved philosophy — and the prospect of becoming a physician. Taking premed courses and majoring in philosophy, he was prepared for either path. The hard part was picking a favorite, and he wrestled with that dilemma in a paper he wrote for a philosophy seminar.

Tatum Barclay ’22, a soon-to-be Georgetown Law student, has been inspired by the field of law since childhood. “I found my voice through oral speaking,” she recalled, “My passion for advocacy, conversation, and litigation stems from the hardships and triumphs of having dyslexia.”

Lily Delle-Levine ’21 landed a post-Hamilton job as a skater with Disney on Ice and currently tours with “Mickey and Friends.” She talks here about the experience.

Keyhole limpets are sea snails that, despite their small size, offered a great opportunity to four Hamilton research students in Professor Patrick Reynolds’ lab. Part of the Diodora genus, these snails sit at the base of the main branch of the gastropod (snail) tree of life. As such, they provided an interesting perspective for tracking snail evolution, Reynolds said.
