  • The 19th annual America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk drew 77 Hamilton College walkers and runners on Saturday, March 5, in Utica.  This year’s donations are still being counted, but thus far Team Hamilton has raised $3,914 for the American Heart Association.

  • Hamilton College received an award for the highest average contribution among all colleges from the 2015 America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk.  Held this past March in Utica, The Heart Run & Walk is an annual fund raising event for the American Heart Association, and every year many Hamilton students and employees participate.

  • More than 80 members of the Hamilton community participated in the America’s Greatest Heart Run and Walk on March 7 in Utica.  This year’s donations are still being counted,  but in 2014 Team Hamilton raised $9,727 for the American Heart Association. Hamilton organizers  hope to come close to that amount for this year. The entire 2015 event included about 8,000 participants, with more than $1 million raised.

  • Members of the women’s tennis team volunteered at the Rome Humane Society on Oct. 25 and Nov. 5. Team members dried scoopers, folded towels, brushed and pet cats, and walked dogs.  Women’ s tennis is one of many Hamilton varsity sports that engage in community service activities. The men's cross country team recently volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore secondhand shop, and the women's soccer team participates each year in the Great American Heart Run and Walk.

  • Nearly 100 members of the Hamilton community took part in the annual America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk on March 1 at Utica College. The event drew more than 6,400 participants and raised more than $1 million for heart education and research. This is the 17th consecutive year that Utica College has hosted the event.

Donations are still being counted but Hamilton participants were among the 7,799 walkers and runners who raised about $1.1 million for the American Heart Association.

  • About 90 members of the Hamilton community participated in the annual America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk on Saturday, March 5, at Utica College. Although donations are still being counted it’s estimated that Team Hamilton raised approximately $5700. These volunteers were among the 8444 total participants who walked or ran between three and five miles.

  • Hamilton College had another strong turn-out for America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk, held this year on Saturday, March 6, at Utica College. Team Hamilton pre-registered more than 80 runners and walkers for the annual event. These volunteers joined a record 8,740 participants in walking and running between three and five miles. The Heart Run and Walk raises money and awareness for the American Heart Association and its fight against heart disease and stroke. Hamilton has fielded a team for many years. Participants included athletic teams, student organizations, Hamilton staff and faculty.

  • Eighty-one Hamilton students and staff members participated in the 34th annual America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk on Saturday, March 8, at Utica College in less than ideal weather conditions. These volunteers joined 7,600 others in walking and running between three and five miles, and raising an estimated $1.2 million. The annual event raises money and awareness for the American Heart Association and its fight against heart disease and stroke. Team Hamilton raised approximately $4,852.
