  • Ryan Serhant '06 was recently the subject of a Parade.com interview titled "Ryan Serhant Gets Hands-On With AT&T." Serhant, a former star on As the World Turns, has some of the most famous hands in the world. He currently works as a hand model for the AT&T “hands” campaign, in which his painted hands are shown holding AT&T’s electronic devices. Italian artist, Guido Daniele, paints Serhant’s hands with intricate images of scenes from all over the world, including the Great Wall of China and the Rialto Bridge. Serhant says the AT&T job is “by far one of the most rewarding just because of its success and its exposure.” He enjoys seeing his ad on a billboard and being able to say, “Those are my hands.”

  • Steve Talevi ’79, P’10 and his wife Jacqueline opened their home to a group of Hamilton students on an Alternative Spring Break trip in March. The students, who volunteered at Habitat for Humanity in Mississippi, spent a night at the Talevi’s home in Roanoke, Va., as a halfway point on their way back to campus. The ASB group included Jennifer Talevi ’10.

  • On Friday, April 23, Hamilton Professors Frank Anechiarico '71 and Carl Rubino will hold an Alumni College at the National Constiution Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with a special exhibit entitled Ancient Rome & America.  This event is open to all alumni, parents and friends of Hamilton College. 

  • Brian A. Caswell '73 will receive the Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award on May 13.  The award recognizes CPAs who are regularly engaged in community, charitable or civic activities.  Caswell, a CPA in Phoenix, NY, serves as president of Caswell & Associates CPA, P.C, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.

  • The Hamilton College Jazz Archive is coordinating a jazz artists in residency program sponsored by Dr. Allen Mead '88, Dr. Phil Mead '59 and Ann Mead. Saxophonist Eric Alexander and pianist Harold Mabern will be in residency on the Hamilton campus from March 30-April 1. A highlight will be a performance by the duo on Wednesday, March 31, at 8 p.m., in the Fillius Events Barn. Late night jazz in the pub will follow featuring guitarist Paul Kogut '88. Admission is free for both concerts.

  • A group of nine Hamilton students traveled to Burgaw Elementary School near Wilmington, N.C., on their Alternative Spring Break trip, March 21-27. Through this outreach program, they’re helping students with homework and participating in after-school activities. Students on the trip are Trang Nyugen '13, Jennifer Hightower '12, Kristen Scherb '13, Spencer Gulbronson '12, Clare Browne '12, Joelle  Adler '13, Meghan Woolley '13, Ada Horne '13, and Meghan Carter '12. They were featured on Burgaw's school Web site.

  • K.T. Sullivan, the wife of Steve Downey '60, will perform at Hamilton College during Reunions '10, Friday, June 4 at 8:30 p.m. in Wellin Hall. Ms. Sullivan was recently featured in The New York Times.

  • Three members of the Class of 2003 had the privilege of attending the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.  Kristen Kmetetz, Morgan Keane (Miller), and Tom Keane traveled across the continent to be part of this historic event.  Read their stories and some of their impressions.

  • Professor Thom's Bar in New York City will play host to a social gathering for those interested in a career in law on March 26th at 7 p.m.  Open to all members of the GOLD Group and the Class of 2010.

  • Visiting Assistant Professor of French Julie-Françoise Kruidenier Tolliver's '02 article "Francophone Manifestos: On Solidarity in the French-Speaking World" was published in a special double-issue edition of the International Journal of Francophone Studies, focusing on current international trends in French-language literature.
