September’s news topics included varied subjects from President Steven Tepper’s inauguration to politics.

Forty-five new faculty members have entered Hamilton’s ranks, including nine tenure-track professors in anthropology, art, computer science, dance and movement studies, economics, government, mathematics and statistics, music, and Russian. They join 31 visiting professors and lecturers, and four teaching fellows for the 2024-25 academic year.

Associate Professor of Psychology Keelah Williams was admitted to the state bar of Arizona earlier in June and is now a licensed attorney in that state.

Three faculty members were awarded Hamilton’s highest awards for teaching by Dean of Faculty Ngoni Munemo during the May 1 faculty meeting. Forty-seven nominations from students were received for the awards.

In its second meeting of the 2023-24 academic year, the Hamilton Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa elected 17 members of the Class of 2024.

A paper by Associate Professor of Psychology Tara McKee and Kerry Reilly ’14 was recently published in the open access journal Discover Psychology.
