Through the Hamilton Alternative Break program, a group of students traveled to Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, N.Y., over fall break to volunteer at Double H’s Comfort Camp Weekend. Double H Ranch is a SeriousFun network camp that offers year-round programs for children and the families of children with serious or chronic illnesses.

After graduating from Kirkland College, Paula Eberhart K’78 received a Rotary International Graduate Fellowship to study at the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires. She has called Argentina home ever since.

Elias Sime, the artist whose exhibition Tightrope is on display at the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art, received the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art's 2019 African Art Award that recognizes "the best in contemporary African art" on Friday, Oct. 25, in Washington, D.C.

Students in Hamilton’s Russian Studies Program visited Holy Trinity Monastery, a Russian Orthodox church, museum, and seminary in Jordanville, N.Y., on Oct. 12. Michael Perekrestov, director of the museum, led a private tour of the exhibit “Revealing the Divine: Treasures of Russian Sacred Art.” The exhibit on Russian religious imagery features icons, architecture, and symbols of ecclesiastical life in Russia from the medieval period to the present.
