Associate Professor of Chemistry Adam Van Wynsberghe recently presented a seminar detailing the progress his research laboratory has made in understanding the ways in which small molecules bind to the influenza protein neuraminidase.

Ten women participating in summer research in the Hamilton College Chemistry, Computer Science and Physics departments have been recognized as Clare Boothe Luce Undergraduate Research Scholars. Funded through a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation and matching funds from Hamilton College, these awards provide stipends and funding for equipment, supplies, and travel to encourage women to either begin or continue research projects in the three disciplines.

Hamilton’s choir had a special guest when they performed in St. Paul on their spring tour last week. Hamilton President-elect David Wippman attended the performance. Wippman is currently dean of the University of Minnesota Law School and will become president of Hamilton on July 1.
